Ant to the IED.

Yes, we've been "Antied" once or twice. We were doing our Laundry one Preparation day when all of a sudden this man comes up and tell us all of these nasty and mean things.

Another time we went to someone's house looking for someone and BAM AGAIN.

Yes, people have yelled some nasty things outside of their cars, too.

For anyone who has experienced this, you might have noticed it's not that enjoyable. I personally wouldn't put it on my list of things I'd like to do at my Birthday Party for instance.

Pinata > Being Antied any.day.

BUT, Elder Holland once said in his infinite wisdom, or should I say Apostolic power,

"Whenever these moments of our extremity come, we must not succumb to the fear that God has abandoned us or that He does not hear our prayers. He does hear us. He does see us. He does love us. When we are in dire circumstances and want to cry, “Where art Thou?” it is imperative that we remember He is right there with us—where He has always been!

No, Joseph was not greater than the Savior, and neither are we. And when we promise to follow the Savior, to walk in His footsteps, and be His disciples, we are promising to go where that divine path leads us. And the path of salvation has always led one way or another through Gethsemane. So if the Savior faced such injustices and discouragements, such persecutions, unrighteousness, and suffering, we cannot expect that we are not going to face some of that if we still intend to call ourselves His true disciples and faithful followers."

No, I am not saying that being Antied is in the bag of chips you get at Baptism, but struggles, questions, even DOUBTS, is in the bag of chips you get with life. But, when you follow Jesus Christ into the waters of Baptism, you promise to follow Him everywhere else. You stand with Him. He has promised, though, that He will "go before your face" (D+C 84:80) and He will be WITH you. He has sent the Holy Ghost to buoy us up.

We are not alone.

The church is true.

When those things have happened, I remember all of the times I have stood in the Log Home that belonged to the boy Joseph Smith where I have felt the Spirit penetrate my very soul. It is ALL true.
